Inspired by the San Diego Zoo’s 100th anniversary, the 2016 Youth Exhibition will focus on the theme of animals. Share your interpretation of the theme through photography or video!
All Students:
ONE entry per student
Students in grades K-12 (ages 5-18)
Students must be residents of San Diego County or Tijuana
Artwork must be created within the 2015-16 school year
Entries can be created by any means of photographic arts including photography (digital photography, film photography, photo collage, polaroid, cyanotype, mixed media, three dimensional) and video
All submissions must be original artwork, but may borrow images (for example, a collage made of magazine photos)
Video Submissions:
Videos must not exceed 2 minutes
Videos may be submitted with a link to a website* containing the video (youtube, vimeo, etc.) or by uploading the video as a file attachment- file must be under 25MB to upload*
Photography Submissions:
Digital Photographs: submit the digital file
Non-digital Artwork (mixed media, collage, film photo, etc): submit a photograph of the artwork*
File size requirements:
Longest side of photo must be between 2400 px - 4800 px*
All artworks will be reviewed by a panel of jurors in May, 2016. All registered users will be notified of juried status in June, 2016.
